Medford Rowing has a new boat: The Galvin !!
In honor of Dan and Nancy Galvin, Medford Rowing renamed our newest boat (recently acquired from Boston University) after the Galvin Family. There aren't enough words, emotions, or pictures to represent what Dan and Nancy have meant (and still mean) to our Rowers, their families, and the Medford High School community.
Simply put, our program would not be what it is today without their leadership and commitment. Our program stands on their shoulders.
On Saturday, April 10, FOMR Co-President Chris DesAutels unveiled the Galvin, the team's newest boat, while Dan was at the boatyard to help get the team ready for training and competition this Spring. While Nancy was home sick, Co-President Stacie Canavan was able to have her participate virtually as seen in the pictures (get well Nancy !!).
