Head of the Hudson

The Head of the Hudson will be held on Sunday, September 22 in Albany NY.

Schedules are now posted on RowTown. Race results will be available there as well.

Regatta Central has additional race information.

Transportation:

• All the other students are going on the bus, unless one of the coaches has spoken to you about alternate plans.
• Sunday,  9/22, at 4:00 a.m. ~ All athletes must be at the boatyard. The bus will  leave at 4:15 a.m. The bus will return that afternoon at approximately  4:00 p.m.
• Coach Chris Serene will chaperone the bus.
• Note:  If a parent would prefer to drive their child to Albany on Saturday  afternoon rather than have them take the bus on Sunday, please let the  coaches know right away so they are not expecting you on the bus. The  teammates who are going early are staying at the Albany Hilton on Lodge  Street.

Food Plan:

• Students riding the bus will be provided with morning snacks (cereal bars, fruit cups, mini muffins, protein bars, etc.).
• Once the rowers arrive in Albany, they can access our food tent. We will provide a continental breakfast and pizza for lunch.
• Be sure to send a water bottle with your student.

Be Prepared:

• Please  send your athlete with changes of clothes (sweatpants, extra socks,  t-shirts, rain gear if needed, etc.), extra snacks, drinks, a pillow, a  blanket, etc., so they can rest and be comfortable on the bus ride.
• If your athlete has not received their uniform yet, please text Leigh Stricker at 617-620-9982 to coordinate a pickup.

Watching the Races

• The Regatta starts at 8:00 and our first boat is in the 8:05 race.
• Medford's race schedule is avaialble at RowTown.
• There are several nearby parking options.
